Kingdom Dolls & Other News

Cinnamon!

She is my second Kingdom Doll and she arrived just before Christmas.

Cinnamon is so well balanced she can stand on her own. I do use her stand for display, but find this amazing.  The sculpts of these dolls by the fabulous Alexandra Forbes are so detailed and so lovely.

So now I have Dauphine and Cinnamon and of course I am sewing for them. I made some fashions for my friend Machelle for Christmas. Here are the photos of those endeavors so far:

Top and skirt for Machelle. Modeled by Dauphine.

Side lace insert pants for Machelle, modeled by Dauphine.

Solitaire and Dauphine. Dauphine is wearing my Garden Party fashion.
It includes bra, petticoat with attached panty and dress.

What shall she wear?

Holiday Fashion for Dauphine.  100% recycled silks.

Enjoying the tree.  Dauphine in hand embroidered lace over-lay red silk for Machelle, Venus in her original dress and Cinnamon wearing a new jacket by Meg Fashion Doll and the pants for Machelle.

Homer's best christmas ever!

Machelle sent me a new Sybarite and other goodies for them for Christmas.
Here they all are opening their gifts on Christmas morning:

I hope you had a great Christmas and wish you all a Happy New Year!

PS:
I am working on a new tutorial.  Sneak peek...

  1. That silk striped skirt is awesome! I'm plotting how to recreate that one.

    1. Thank You! The skirt is made from sari silk ribbons. The base of the skirt is made from reclaimed silk from a woman's garment. The ribbons were sewn to the base. I purchased the silk ribbons on etsy from https://www.etsy.com/shop/FeltBetter . I bought a small assortment she had and have created many things with it already. If you do make something, I would love to see it!
